Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

PowerMyWeb generates and hosts personal portfolio websites. Because published sites live on our shared domain (*.powermyweb.com), abuse harms every user. This policy explains what is not allowed and how we moderate.

Product disclosure

Sites are generated by large language models from the materials you provide. AI output can contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing your site before publishing. The Service builds personal portfolio and CV websites only — it is not a general-purpose website host.

You may not use PowerMyWeb to create or publish

  • Impersonation: a portfolio for a real person other than yourself, fabricated credentials attributed to real organizations, or content that misrepresents who you are. Building a portfolio for someone else (e.g. a client) is allowed only if you are legally authorized and have informed them of the processing and hosting described in our Privacy Policy, as required by our Terms.
  • Fraud: phishing pages, fake login/payment forms, scam or deceptive commercial offers, malware distribution, or link farms/SEO spam.
  • Illegal content: anything unlawful, or that infringes others’ copyright, trademarks, or privacy (including publishing someone else’s personal data without consent).
  • Harmful content: hate speech, harassment, threats, sexually explicit material, or content that endangers minors.
  • Abuse of the Service: circumventing plan quotas or rate limits, automated bulk generation, reselling generated capacity, or attempting to attack the Service or other users’ sites.

How moderation works

  • Automated checks: we use automated, deterministic checks at generation and publish time (link validation, placeholder and disallowed-pattern detection) that are designed to catch common abuse. Like all automated measures, they are not guaranteed to identify every harmful site.
  • Hosted-content review: sites published to *.powermyweb.com may be reviewed by us, and we act on abuse signals (unusual traffic, reports, blocklists).
  • Reporting: anyone can report a site by emailing support@powermyweb.com with the site URL. We triage by risk: dangerous content (phishing, malware, content endangering people) is prioritized immediately — put URGENT in the subject line; other reports are normally reviewed within 3 business days.

Copyright complaints (notice and takedown)

If you believe a site hosted on *.powermyweb.com infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@powermyweb.com with subject “Copyright complaint” including: (1) the URL of the allegedly infringing site and the specific material; (2) identification of your copyrighted work; (3) your name and contact details; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature. We will remove or disable access to material identified in a complete notice expeditiously.

Counter-notice: if your site was taken down and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with the same contact details, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief; we may restore the material unless the complainant informs us it has sought a court order. Repeat infringers: we terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

Enforcement

Depending on severity we may unpublish a site, disable generation, or suspend the account — immediately for phishing, malware, or content endangering others. If you believe we acted in error, reply to the enforcement email and we will re-review.
